Los Angeles Lakers legend and basketball mogul Kobe Bryant died Sunday in a helicopter crash outside of Los Angeles, California. Bryant’s daughter, Gianna, was also among the nine people killed.

Bryant is survived by his wife, Vanessa, and their other two daughters.

Those who follow sports knew who Bryant was. A renowned winner with a killer instinct and ice in his veins. One of the hardest working players ever, Bryant was fearless and competed in a way in which we may never see again. A fearless savage on the hardwood and as insightful and knowledgeable off the floor.

Bryant was a charismatic and intriguing figure outside of basketball. He spoke multiple languages, had rap battles with Shaq and would brighten up any place with his presence.

Bryant was a five-time NBA Champion, two-time Finals MVP and league MVP in 2008.

May the self-proclaimed “Black Mamba” rest in peace.
