Power, punch and Perth are three perfect words to describe these guys!
After a whirlwind summer performing at festivals around the world, The Faim returned to the Phantasy Nightclub in Lakewood, OH Oct. 2 for a stop on their co-headlining U.S. tour with Stand Atlantic presented by The Noise and Ones To Watch.

WSTR and Hold Close joined the Australian rock quartet made up of Josh Raven [vocals], Sam Tye [guitar], Stephen Beerkens [bass/keys] and Linden Marissen [drums] for the first half of the tour. Starting Oct. 4, they will be supported by WSTR and Point North.
For this show, the guys had even more music to share with their American fans, as they recently released their debut album State Of Mind on Sept. 13. The record features their fall single “Humans” and crowd favorite “Amelie.” You can learn more about that song from our interview with bassist Stevie Beerkens right here.State Of Mind was highly anticipated from punk and alternative fans across the globe. “Humans” is undeniably raw and relatable, packing a lot of might into just three minutes. “Buying Time” makes listeners feel like the true punk bad-asses they are with this perfect head-bangin’ tune. Also, their title track “State Of Mind” will leave you feeling wildly introspective because you’ll be thinking about thinking. Kooky stuff, right? Don’t worry, you’ll also get a heavy dose of emo nostalgia with the simple piano tune titled “Where The River Runs.” You will truly go through all the emotions with this album.
(5/5 stars from Black Squirrel Radio!)
Black Squirrel Radio was stoked to see The Faim co-headline a show for the first time. The energy that the guys bring is unlike any show seen before. Their chemistry and friendship is undeniable on stage as they frequently make each other laugh in between songs. Lead singer, Josh Raven also has stage presence beyond his years and a vocal range comparable to alt-rock superstars like Brendon Urie and Patrick Stump.
The band always comes out hot with their heavy-rock hit “Saints of the Sinners,” which pumps up old and new fans almost immediately. Perhaps the most impressive thing about the group is how well they connect with the crowd. Raven always jumps directly into his crowd, and even decided to mosh with some fans during the bridge of “Amelie.” He even hopped aboard the pirate ship in the venue (Yes, Phantasy Nightclub has PIRATE SHIPS inside!) and sang over his crowd like an über talented Jack Sparrow.
Few shows compare to the intimacy and pop-rock party that is a Faim show. We’ve said it once, and BSR will say it again… You WILL see their name in lights one day!
Don’t just take our word for it though!
