On December 12th, 2018 The Beachland Ballroom and Tavern in Cleveland, OH hosted a charity metal show put together by Bill Peters, host of Metal on Metal on WJCU. Food and cash donations were accepted for Friends of the City of Cleveland Kennel and to the Greater Cleveland Alzheimer’s Association. The show featured 12 different bands throughout the night, with half performing on the ballroom stage and the other half on the tavern stage. The photos I took were from the bands Spellchucker and Merciless Reign on the tavern stage.
Unfortunately, I was late so I didn’t get to take pictures of the band I went there for, Assault, a rockin’ metal band from Cleveland. I took pictures of them among others in the basement and in the ballroom area by the bar. The basement is an area dedicated to vintage clothing, knick-knacks, and vinyl. They had some great records hidden in the stacks. They also had several different photographers ready with prints and books to show off in the hallway that connected the ballroom stage to the tavern stage in the front of the venue. The energy at this show was amazing and I am glad I was able to attend.
