After coming off a win against the Pittsburgh Steelers that ended in a dramatic way last Thursday, the Browns finished off their three game home stand Sunday, defeating the Dolphins 41-24.
The Browns offense finally caught fire Sunday against the NFL’s third-worst defense. Quarterback Baker Mayfield threw for 327 yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Jarvis Landry had 10 catches and two scores while his best friend Odell Beckham Jr. had six catches and found the end zone for the second time this season. Running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt ran for a total of 143 yards and both of them scored a touchdown.
On the defensive side for the Browns, they were able to sack Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick four times without star defensive end Myles Garrett and young breakout talent Larry Ogunjobi at defensive tackle due to suspensions from the brawl in the Pittsburgh game.
The Browns were also missing Olivier Vernon, who missed his third straight game with a knee injury. Potential Pro Bowl linebacker Joe Schobert recorded two interceptions.
Next week, the Browns travel to Pittsburgh for a rematch with the Steelers. After what happened the last time these two faced off against each other, there’s going to be some bad blood between these two rivals.
