Welcome to our new series, “Voices of the Pandemic”, where we interview Kent students, staff and residents about their unique experiences and perspectives on the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
In our first episode, I sat down with Senior Interior Design student Rebecca Dearth. Dearth was a part of the KSU Florence study-abroad program when the pandemic crashed into the U.S last March. Forced to leave within days, Dearth had to leave many memories and objects behind in Florence and re-enter a totally changed country. In our interview, she talks about how this affected her creative process and how it took a long time for her to get back to a creative mindset.
