Describe your show:
Subi: Interesting stories about international student studying abroad or students studying abroad experience. Like they accidentally got the blue cheese and almost threw up? Well… that was me. The language and cultural differences they might face in a foreign country. We would love to provide international students with the study and life tips to help you have the best life and study experience in the U.S. Also, join us to learn about American jokes or slangs so that you don’t have to fake a smile when everyone gets the punch line and starts laughing.
How did you come up with your show concept:
Subi: I’ve always wanted to write a blog about my own experiences but turned out that I am not a big fan of writing, especially in English! Lol!! But I love talking and interviewing people. I’ve simply come up with the idea based on my own struggles studying abroad in the U.S. and wanted to help out more students.
What do you do in your free time:
Subi: Eating, sleeping, reading, swimming, hanging out with friends and getting my pictures taken by someone else and traveling if I have enough time.
Who are some of your favorite bands/artists:
Subi: Gnash, Blackbear, and Sia
What would you like people to know about studying abroad:
Subi: Studying abroad is for sure challenging, but do not limit yourself from doing what you truly love because of the language barriers and culture differences. We can for sure overcome everything but it takes time.
What is your favorite thing about Kent State:
Subi: The people
What’s the most unusual or surprising thing about studying abroad:
Subi: I can not order my own food correctly I always need people to be on my side and explain it to me, lol
