From Dallas,Texas Quiet, Please is an up and coming band that is sure to take the world by storm. The band consists of four members: Brice Griffith tearing it up on piano, ukulele, guitar and vocals, Kevin McMinimy smashing on the drums and vocals, Dominik Montes ripping bass and Josh Yates jamming on guitar. We asked the ambitious band some questions about what makes them who they are.

Q: When did the band form and what was your inspiration?

A: The band formed around the end of 2015. Music has always been a helping hand through struggles for all of us and we just wanted to do the same for others.

Q: What is the first song you ever performed together as a band?

A: “No Grey” by The NBHD and it was actually terrible

Q: You just welcomed a new member to the band, how did the idea of adding a new member come about?

A: Honestly it just kind of happened. Josh has been a good friend of ours for a long time. As we have grown as people our music taste has grown as well so we just wanted to bring something different to the table that could help broaden our sound. We couldn’t have picked anyone better!

Q: Your song “Note” has over 17,000 streams on Spotify, tell us about the inspiration for this song.

A: That song was the first song we ever wrote, actually. It’s gone through many changes since the creation but the overall inspiration for the song was struggling. Struggling with life itself, depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts. All those dark things.

Q: What is your songwriting process like? How do you gain inspiration?

A: Our songwriting process is all over the place. sometimes one of us will bring a demo written on a laptop and we all kind of make our changes and it’s done. Sometimes it’s just something we kind of jam out before practice. sometimes it takes FOREVER. For example, ‘Note’ took 3 years to finally be complete.

Q: Quiet, Please has opened for some amazing bands including Hardcastle and Sleeptalk. Who do you dream of opening for one day?

A: Yes! we’ve been lucky enough to become good friends with those guys! There’s so many bands we look up too and would love to open for but just to name a few:

Walk The Moon
The Wombats
The Front Bottoms
Vinyl Theatre
Twenty One Pilots
The NBHD

Q: What do you enjoy most about touring? What must you always bring on tour?

A: Just spending time with your best friends and traveling the country together. Also, meeting the fans across the country that’s still so surreal the people thousands of miles away from us enjoy what we do. What we must always bring? The talented photographer Bridget Craig. Always bring Bridget Craig.

Q: How has your music evolved since you first started creating music together?

A: Our music has evolved in so many ways. When we started this project we hardly knew how to play instruments so we’re constantly growing as musicians and our music evolves as we do.

Q: In two words describe your live show. What makes your show unique?

A: Engaging. Energetic.

We really like to engage with the crowd and get everyone moving even if we’re playing for 5 people. We just want everyone to have a good time and enjoy the music. I think that’s really what it’s all about.

Q: So, what’s in the future for Quiet, Please?

A: SOOO MUCH. We go into the studio this month to record some new and old songs. We have a bunch of new merch coming out. Everything is changing but still staying the same if that makes sense? Oh, and we’re going to be on the road all summer so that’s exciting!
