While listening to this new album release by Owl Company called Iris, I truly felt goosebumps from their massive riffs and amazing vocals. Every song is different and the album is very diverse with slower tempos to fast guitar and drum solo’s. Owl Company is an alternative metal band from Brazil who brings a new new vision to rock. Bringing in high influences from the 70’s and 80’s, This band does not compare to any other as they are very unique.  I was captured by the singer’s strong, soothing voice.

If you don’t like heavy metal and feel it’s “too much,” then listen to Owl Company’s album Iris. One song featured on their newest album that brings a different vibe to their track is the song, “Rise”.  You will hear quiet, and slower sounds with strong vocals. This song is more of a mellow song which is cool considering they are alternative rock/metal. What I really like about this band is that they are easy to listen to. This was my first time hearing Owl Company and I was immediately in love.

A favorite of mine from this album is “Shattered Dreams”. Strong vocals are important in my opinion, and I really think this song covers that along with huge guitar riffs and powerful drumming. Overall, I can say this was a well crafted album mainly because of their contrasting moods and a diverse selection. Owl Company is one of those bands that needs to be more recognized and given a chance because they are definitely not like any other band.
