5 TV Shows That Had the Best Theme Songs

I don’t know about you guys, but have you ever watched a television show just because of the theme song?

Yes? Oh, thank goodness I’m not the only one.

As a kid, there were quite a few shows that were pretty mediocre. The only thing that saved them from total boredom was the theme song. I decided to compose a list of a few songs that stuck out to me as a kid.

True Jackson VP

Artist: Keke Palmer

I’ll be honest with you. I didn’t pay much attention to this show, but I would only watch it because of the theme song. It reminds me of something off of Disney Channel. The song starts off with a light, magical tone. Once the guitar riff kicks in, it makes me want to jump off of my couch and start dancing. The show unfortunately lasted for only three seasons, but it brought upon a song that I still enjoy to this day.

Chalkzone

Composed by: Bill Burnett and Guy Moon

Rudy’s got the chalk! Man, how could I forget about good ol’ Chalkzone? Rudy Tabootie was gifted with the magic chalk, which allowed him to go back and forth to Chalkzone and allow his creative drawings come to life. The theme song was way too badass for a kids show. The guitar riff in the theme song gets me every time. I would constantly play it back on my DVR as a kid. Good times, man. Good times.

Buzz on Maggie

Artist: Skye Sweetnam

The lyrics describe me perfectly. “I’m strange and I like it. That’s just the way I am.” Buzz on Maggie was short-lived and I didn’t pay much attention to it. The theme song intrigued me, at least. It was pretty relatable to its audience and sent a positive message to just be yourself.

Victorious

Artist: Victoria Justice

Despite its abruptive cancellation, Victorious was especially known for its catchy theme song. Actually, now that I’m thinking about it, the show actually had some other great songs. I guess that’s why Nickelodeon helped produce three albums. Go figure.

Kim Possible

Artist: Christina Millan

Call me, beep me if you want to reach me to tell me how much you love this song. Not only was the show about a kickass teenager girl battling evil every night along with her best friend, but the theme song did the show justice. My favorite version is the one they used for the movie, “So The Drama.”
