2017 is here and so is Fifth Harmony. The girl group gave their first performance as a foursome at the People’s Choice Awards, since Camila Cabello’s departure was announced and it was everything and more.
For weeks the girls have been teasing their fans about the performance and the anticipation has been high. What would it sound like, what would the formations look like and lastly what song would they perform. Would it be a song featuring more or less of Cabello and who would sing her verse. All of these questions were answered and any doubt about the girl group’s future was put to rest.
After being introduced by none other than DJ Khaled, the girls kicked off the performance in perfect harmony as they sang “We ain’t worried bout nothin, we ain’t worried bout nada.” Cue the spins and some much needed vocals from Lauren Jauregui who puts her own twist on the verse sang by her former band member.

As each girl performs their name appears on the screen above and they do what they do best. At the end of their performance the girls collected their award for favorite group for the second year in a row.
With new vocal arrangements, new choreo (peep that formation choreo) and a new award, it’s safe to say Fifth Harmony is here to stay for awhile, especially since they’ve announced their first ever Asia tour.
It seems as if everything is on the up and up for Fifth Harmony. After former member Cabello left, rumor has it that epic records were trying to decide if they were gonna resign the girls as a quartet or just sign Camila. After finding out the label has been backing Cabello’s solo work since the beginning of the year, it seemed as though Fifth Harmony was on it way to being over.
However, luck was on the ladies side, not only did they resign to Epic but the deal finally allows them to have control of their brand. The ladies have recently trademarked their name, and it seems as their brand is only gonna continue expand. Harmonizers can thank their lawyer Dina LaPolt.
With this performance, the remaining ladies of Fifth Harmony proved that they are stronger and even better as a quartet. I have a feeling that their next album be one for the books. If I were you, I’d start saving my money for the lead single.
