Jon Worthy & The Bends Are Coming To BSR

On Wednesday, July 31st, indie/folk rock band, Jon Worthy & the Bends, will be in the studio for an interview. Coupled with the interview, the group plans to perform three songs for the listeners to enjoy. They will be on air from 6 to 8 p.m.
Based out of Nashville, Tennessee, this high-energy group has been relentless in their pursuit of making music. As the name would indicate, Jon Worthy serves as the creative spearhead. Aside from playing guitar, he is also the lead vocalist and principle songwriter. His career began in 2015 and along the way, he has undergone a couple of lineup changes. The current lineup is as follows: Jon Worthy (Vocals/Guitar), Austin Mcfall (Bassist), Mike Sanborn (Drums), and Luis Echeverria (Keys/Guitar).
Jon Worthy & the Bends are in the midst of a fifty-show tour which comes at the heels of their latest album, Something’s Gotta Give, released last month. The record marks a shift in sound for the musicians, as its acoustic backbone presents a mellow atomsphere. Of course, the heart piercing messages behind the lyrics are still there. Something’s Gotta Give is the band’s third LP, with the other two being May You Live Happily Ever After (2016) and Only A Dream (2018). Former Cage The Elephant guitarist, Lincoln Parish, oversaw the production of Only A Dream in his Nashville studio.
