An Interview With KSU Class Of 1974 Graduate Daryl Hall

Daryl Hall started at Kent State in the fall of 1970 as a football player. Written in the aftermath of the tragic events of May 4, 1970, his book Flashback is described as “a young man’s search for truth about the Kent State Shootings.”

We discuss his life playing football, his motivations for writing the book and playing alongside future legendary coaches and players such as Nick Saban and Jack Lambert.

Hall also talks about the Vietnam War, Watergate and the legacy of May 4 50 years later.
