Many listeners out there may be curious where this thing called Black Squirrel Radio comes from. Yeah, sure, you can hear it, but there's way more going on behind the scenes that you may not know about. Today is your lucky day. Come along while we show you our fabulous facilities.
First off, Black Squirrel Radio is brought to you from a big shiny studio on the second floor of Franklin Hall at Kent State University.
Walking down the hallway in Franklin, you may look over your shoulder and see our broadcasting studio through a sound-proof window. Every day during the semester, DJs are in the booth from 8 A.M. until 2 A.M. seven days a week.
New Jersey native Ace Enders' second solo album "When I Hit the Ground" has emotional lyrics, sweet piano solos and great acoustic guitar.
"Reintroduction" was a good choice to start the album. Enders's soft voice is complimented by more dynamic vocals that are lead by bells to a tempo change with harder guitars and drumming. The song previews what is to come on the entire album with each style and instrument represented.
