Amber Wade, Ellen Kirtner | Black Squirrel Radio Music

The Felix Culpa is a progressive indie band that has been out promoting its latest release, Sever Your Roots, since early this year. The album has received much critical acclaim from the likes of Alternative Press, Absolutepunk.net, and many more. It's definitely Black Squirrel Radio approved too. The band's live performance is one not to be missed.

Black Squirrel Radio talked with vocalist, guitarist Marky Hladish when the band came through town on tour with Sainthood Reps. Continue after the jump for the two-part audio from the interview, as well as a clip of our chat with Sainthood Reps' vocalist Francestco Montesanto, and some photos from the show. For more information on the band, check out www.thefelixculpa.com , or for more on their tourmates, check out myspace.com/sainthoodreps.

Marky told us all about the current tour and shows after the tour with O’Brother, and he also let BSR know that the band will be getting back into the studio in October to work on new material!  Listen to the first portion of the interview for more details on this, as well as Marky’s new music picks.

Continue to part two for information on The Felix Culpa’s work self-releasing their last record and Marky’s thoughts for their next release.  Make sure to watch out for the tour dates in August, as The Felix Culpa may be stopping by our area again.

Part 2:

Listen for some background on Sainthood Reps from vocalist Francesco Montesanto and to hear about their plans for the future!
